Everything is matter. Even the air is matter. But not everything is made of the same material. There are different materials: plastic, paper, glass, leather, wood, wool, metal...

Every material has different properties. A property describes how a material is: waterproof, resistant, hard, flexible, hard, conductor...

Stays the same: permanece igual

Changes: cambia

packed closely together: "comprimidos cercanamente juntos"

...still close together but they can move: aún juntos pero pueden moverse

Far apart: muy lejos

They can move freely: se pueden mover libremente
